![]() I also checked in my system preferences to make sure that the audio output is coming from my interface and it is. I plugged that in to my interface via RCA and then I turned the volume knob on my interface and on my monitor and when I tried to play back music I got nothing. Keep in mind that I'm a newbie.įirst problem: So first of all, I bought a used pair of M-Audio AV 40 monitors from guitar center(the guy said they were in good condition). Okay first of all, hi everyone! I am having two big problems so I'll start off with the first one. So if you think you know some way to help me please post something! I have not broken the microphone but I also have not used it since vista. Manually install the software from the device manager Try an earlier version of the m-audio softwareĥ. Added m-audio to the allowed programs in firewallĤ. But this is confusing me again.Ī few steps I've taken that other people said might work.Ģ. No audio in the preview is jumping nor when I try to record in other programs. But I can't seem to get the microphone working. The M-audio fastTrack shows up in devices and device manager. Whenever I download the drivers it says data invalid. however, this time I'm using windows 7 instead of vista. So after a couple years of using it, I decided to stop using it. The issue I had back then was that the audio would only come out of my left ear phone. Well I've used this microphone in the past. The M-Audio Fast Track US44010 and the pg-58 mic xlrtoxlr Processor: i7-3820 12gb ddr3 1600mhz gskills OS: Windows 7 Home Premium Sp1 64bit with all optional important updates done So before I explain my problem in whole* I'll post my specs. PS: do i need to get a preamp before i input to the FTP? I realize it has its own phantom power and preamp controls on it but does it require another one? thanks for reading well, thats not a HUGE concern for me, mostly just the ability to monitor without latency. I read that USB 2.0 is required to record multiple inputs at once. So does this lag up on the fast track pro? Does having a usb 2.0 interface improve this? Thanks for any replies. I realize you can probably monitor your signal from the device itself, but I really need to be able to monitor the signal OUTPUT meaning with the effects inside the DAW mixer to record successful vocals the way I want them to sound. I'm sure the FTP will be clearer but will i still be able to monitor my signal playback THRU the daw's mixer+fx? or will it lag up worse than my mic-direct-into-soundcard method? I am of course using ASIO, my concern is just that the usb will lag it up more than the audio input direct (sound card). Obviously this is generating alot of noise and ive been wanting to upgrade to something better for years. My main concern is whether or not i will get latency when monitoring my signal? Currently i am using fl studio and to record audio (mic/instruments/etc) im pluggin straight into the back of my sound card. Im not sure if this is vital for me or not. Now, i looked up some specs on it (which i know i should have done before hand) and i found its NOT usb 2.0. I picked this one over the newer fast track mkII because it looked more professional. i dont yet own this device but its on order.
